A tourist invitation is the simplest and most affordable way to obtain a Russian visa for a short-term visit for tourism purposes.
To apply for a Russian tourist visa, a foreign citizen must provide the Russian Consulate abroad with a copy of the tourist invitation/voucher and confirmation from the host, which must include the registration number from the Unified Register of Russian Tour Operators.
To issue the invitation, a scanned copy of the foreign guest’s passport is required. Please check that the passport is valid for at least 6 months after the planned departure date from Russia.
You will also need to provide information about your travel dates, itinerary, and accommodation bookings.
The processing time for a tourist invitation starts from 1 day. The visa itself must be obtained directly at a Russian consulate or visa center based on the invitation.
